On the 15th June, the Bruisers will jet off to Copenhagen for their second adventure of 2013 as they take on their Danish counterparts. Go fly the LBRG flag and do us all proud!!
Liverpool Roller Birds vs LBRG
The 18th May saw us fly over to visit the lovely Liverpool Roller Birds in this double header event. The Dames were up first and what a performance they gave!! The Dames dominated from the start and managed to rack up a score of 349-62, their biggest differential yet, which caused them to fly 12 spaces up the rankings to #73. Next up, the Bruisers took on Liverpool’s A team and also managed to bring home a win with a final score of 211-141. A successful day for both of our bouting teams

Lincolnshire Bombers travel to WFTDA Tournament
As if travelling abroad to Copenhagen to play Roller Derby wasn’t enough for The Lincolnshire Bombers Roller Girls already this year, we are now playing in an International WFTDA tournament in Gent!
The Lincolnshire Bombers Roller Girls are going to Gent to skate in A Skate Odyssey (http://www.2013skod.com) and we need your help more than ever now!
The Lincolnshire Bombers have been part of WFTDA, as a full member league since June 2012, with the intention of one day being a team to be invited to a WFTDA tournament. We thought the day would be sometime in the future but it has arrived sooner than we thought. From 10-12 May we’ll be taking part in our first WFTDA tournament and we’ll need some extra funds to get there. Many of our member of our travelling members, as well so some very supportive non-bouting members, are taking part in a epic bike ride from Skegness to Lincoln; ending at Yarborough Leisure Centre on 28th April. Look out for them on the day with donation buckets, welcome them back to Lincoln by joining them at Cathedral Square or donate in advance here.

Lincolnshire Bombers do art…
The Lincolnshire Bombers are an artistic bunch and we have decided to collate all our creativity and talent into one night.
For one night only at Angel Coffee House on Free School Lane, Lincoln, 7pm – 9pm we will be showcasing some of our best artistic work ranging from illustration to photography and everything in between with 10% of the cost price, on everything sold, going to our Copenhagen fundraising (see header for how far we are, and how far we’ve got to go). They’ll be coffee, art talk and general schmoozing as well as the good feeling you get when you help a good cause.
Not sure you can afford a centre art piece? They’ll be donation buckets and coffee!

Master Your Minimums
The Lincolnshire Bombers coaching team are hosting a bootcamp just for those who want to pass their WFTDA minimum skills. Guided and tested by the current standard of minimum skills we, as in the LBRG coaching team, are hosting a three hour event on the 2nd March to try to get you passed. We are also offering comprehensive feedback and a complimentary bottle of water… Not sold yet? Tickets cost just £8 and there are only a handful left.

RECRUITMENT POSTPONED DUE TO SNOW
Sadly we are having to postpone our recruitment event this Saturday due to snow. We’re very sorry for the short notice!
